ACCA past papers: where to get them, and how to practise when you have used them up

ACCA publishes past exams, specimen exams and examiner reports for the session papers on accaglobal.com, free, under each exam's study resources. For the on-demand papers (BT, MA, FA, LW) ACCA publishes specimen exams rather than past papers, because the live question banks are never released. Start there: the specimen shows you the screen, the question styles and the timing.

Markline does not reproduce ACCA past papers or any ACCA question text. Every question on this site is original, written to the current syllabus and study guide and checked by a second model before it goes live.

The problem with past papers alone

There are two or three published papers per session exam and none for the on-demand ones. Most candidates have memorised them by the second pass, which makes a score on a past paper a poor predictor of the real exam. What you need after the published papers is volume on the same outcomes: the 400 or so objective questions it takes to see every syllabus area several times, and written answers that are actually marked.

Practice by paper

Old paper codes

Students still search by the old F codes. F1 is BT, F2 is MA, F3 is FA, F4 is LW, F5 is PM, F6 is TX, F7 is FR, F8 is AA and F9 is FM. The content moved on with each syllabus update, so a 2015 F7 paper is not a reliable guide to FR today; the examiner reports from the last two years are.

Questions students ask

Where can I download ACCA past papers for free?

From ACCA itself: each exam's page on accaglobal.com has past exams (session papers), specimen exams and examiner reports at no cost.

Are there past papers for BT, MA, FA and LW?

No. These are on-demand exams and ACCA keeps the live banks private; it publishes specimen exams instead.

Are Markline questions past exam questions?

No. They are original questions written to the current study guide; ACCA question text is never reproduced.
